Aluminum Hourglass Sleeve
Hourglass ferrules are manufactured according to the requirement of American customers. These ferrules are easy to operate, but can only be used for small wire rope sizes ranging from 1mm to 16mm. For high breaking force wire rope, we recommend you using EN13411-3 aluminum oval ferrules.
When properly applied, ferrules are capable of holding the rated breaking strength of the rope to which they are applied. However, to determine the exact holding strength, TENSION TEST must be performed before using. This step insures the proper selection of materials, the correct swaging procedure, and an ample margin of safety for the intended use.
